THE CEF RESEARCH COMMUNITY

This is our version of an open research community, where we can help each other improve our research ideas, and ultimately, what we discover. It is not a place to submit final articles – that is where journals start. Our research community site is a place to share ideas, and receive ideas, about what we want to research.

The assumption on this site is that our research is focussed on helping us understand reality better. What is our reality? It is life as described Biblically. It encompasses both “seen and unseen” aspect of life, as the Apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 4:18.

Another aspect of this site is reporting research that fails, or does not achieve what we hoped. This is the important part of research that journals ignore – that is, learning from our mistakes.

Enter your details below and let’s enjoy learning from the questions we have been asking about teaching as a Christian.

Your name:

Your research question: [this is the best way to present your idea about research]

Any details about the context that may be helpful: if your research question has any particular foci in terms of the educational context, outline them here.

Starting ideas about how to answer your question: most research places call this ‘methodology’. However, some people assume that this must involved using numbers and statistical procedures. Yet because we believe in unseen aspects of reality, we know that there are different sources of knowledge. How you answer your research question is therefore very dependent on the nature of your question.

Any particular areas of feedback: is there a specific question you want to ask about your research idea or experience about which you would like feedback?

Something that did not work: this is where we can share ‘good ideas that did not bear fruit’ – at least, not the fruit for which we hoped. We can each learn from our and others’ mistakes.
